Event Description	:	Play your part in Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness at Mid Valley Megamall (8th-10th Oct); 1 Utama Shopping Centre - New Wing ( 15th - 17th Oct ) Contribute by having your photo taken, face painted or purchase limited edition t-shirts and products. Proceed to Breast Cancer Welfare Association ( BCWA ), Cancer Research lnitiatives Foundation (CARIF), College of Radiology Malaysia; the National Cancer malaysia (NCSM).

Facts :

• Breast cancer was the commonest overall cancer and the commonest cancer in women amongst all races from the age of 20 years for 2003 to 2005.
• Commonest cancer amongst Malaysian women of every race.
• A woman in Malaysia has a 1 in 20 chance of getting breast cancer in her lifetime.
• Generally incidence rates in Malaysia are lower than in the Western countries; however the incidence is rising at a more rapid rate than in Western countries.
• Breast cancer is most common in the Chinese followed by the Indians and then, Malays.
• The peak incidence was among 50-59 year olds.
• Race Incidence Malay women: 1 in 28 lifetime risk Chinese women: 1 in 16 lifetime risk Indian women: 1 in 16 lifetime risk
