Twins Sister Cafe, Seri Kembangan

>> Sunday, May 30, 2010

No idea where to have lunch in Seri Kembangan area during lunch break? If you prefer a comfy condition with air-cond shop, you can try Twins Sister Cafe. Sounded like an advertisement pula. Ok, I'm not affiliated with them ya. It's in the same row with King's bakery shop. Quite new. This is their second branch. The first one is in Serdang Perdana, near South City Plaza. I won't say the food is super-nice or what, but the environment is comfortable. They have lunch set with price ranges from RM8.90 to RM11.90 with free herbal drink and they serve vegetarian dish too! There's this dish named coffee pork chop rice...yeah, imagine eating pork chop with coffee sauce. Acceptable la, but the coffee sauce got a bit sweet plus coffee taste. If you're curious about the taste, can try it.

Happy Kaamatan, Happy Gawai

Happy Harvest Festival - Kotobian Tadau Tagazo do Kaamatan

Happy Gawai - Gayu-Guru, Gerai-Nyamai

I'm not really into Kaamatan festival actually but I do enjoy seeing the crowds, gathering, activities and so on. I don't like seeing people drinking sampai lupa dunia then the next day sure got news bunuh-membunuh or car accident. The only memories I had for this festival is watching my friend as one of the constestant and waiting her to be crowned as the winner but she didn't (you know la, don't know what the judges were thinking) and also the drawings I did for the History assignment during school days. Well, I actually copied the info from my sister's previous assignment cus I know nothing but am proud that I can draw all the pictures nicely. Hehe... I tried to draw back the baju kadazan penampang (penampang kadazan traditional costume) and taa-daa... (yeah, ugly huh)

A traditional costume includes himpogot (a silver dollar-shape belt), tangkong (hip-belt), titimbak (hair pin), tiningkokos (oval-shape silver/brass bracelets), gohong (bangles), hamai (necklace), simbong (earrings), paun (brooch of gold coins). I don't know much about the costume, more info can be found here.

That's all.

Long life, wealth and happiness to everyone!

I can't keep myself focused. Help!~~

No. 3 : fyi, no.5 is here...
me : err.... I don't care bout it!

I don't know why do you want to inform me on that. I don't want to be rude by giving such reply but well that's what I'll answer also. I don't care bout anything anymore with 'that'. Why should I know about something that I do not want to know, then I have to be involved into that situation when nobody from 'there' even bother to ask or know or even a "1 cent' concern towards me.

Period!

Restoran 663 Bak Kut Teh

>> Sunday, May 23, 2010

My stomach is growling, calling for food. So, decided to post up my bah kut teh photos to kill time. Bah kut teh is a popular chinese soup consist of meaty pork ribs simmered with herbs and spices. Had this at Restoran 663, Serdang, near the KTM area. Ordered their signature tau foo dish ( called 'jiu pai tau foo') as well. The soup does not have that 'strong' flavour of herbs but the amount of meat in the claypot is more than enough to fill in an empty stomach. Enjoy the pics. Nyum!

The Steamboat Ketam Village, Ikano

Had dinner at the one and only steamboat restaurant at Ikano last night. Checked the information of the place, it is Ketam Village Steamboat Restaurant. Ordered two Double Combo Set (RM32.80) and other ala carte; fish mee (RM3.90), mussels (RM4.90), sliced beef (RM6.90), sliced lamb set (RM22.80), quails eggs (RM2.90), fish mee (RM3.90), sliced beef set (RM22.80), special combo set (RM29.80) and drinks. Total - RM196.80

There were 8 of us and I don't like it when it comes to the billing part. I'm not sure for other people but I always feel uneasy if I'm the one have to deal with this situation. When the bill come, it's hard to calculate how much each of them should pay plus everyone on table waiting and looking at you.

The steamboat was so-so to me. I prefer the steamboat at Sunway and Serdang. Cheap, nice and fulfilling. For this steamboat, they even charge RM2 for soup refill (Clear and Tom Yam soup). The chinese tea is refillable. We didn't know that and ordered another cold chinese tea. So, there goes another charges. Remember to ask for refill not a new glass.

But the chilli paste and fried shalllots are nice. Not enough with the hot and spicy chilli plus tom yam, we went for dessert session - Ikea RM1 ice cream. Busy-bodied at 50-70% Body Shop Sale (another 10% for members). Ended the night with another cone of ice-cream and half dozen curry puff (RM5.50). Omg!!!

How to Add Tabs for New Blogger

>> Thursday, May 13, 2010

I was looking for codes to put tabs for blogger template. Looks like there's easier way to put tabs with the new blogger. I found it in markandey's blog "How to get tabs (navigation bar) on new blogger template" and also step-by-step tutorial from melardenio's site "How to Add Menu Tabs..". You can read more from their site. As this is a new blog, I was stuck at the first step because I thought I need to go in through blogger in draft (draft.blogger.com) to get the tabs. This is my simplified version on how to add the tabs.

1. Go to 'Dashboard' and click 'Layout'

2. Then, click 'Posting', 'Edit Page' and 'New Page'. There'll be three options which are 'Blog sidebar', 'Blog tabs' and 'No gadget'. I choose 'Blog tabs'. Click 'Save and publish'.

3. Then click 'New page'. You can rename it such as "About Me", "Disclaimer" and so on. Can add up to 10 stand-along pages. It will look something like this (in screenshot below) after you add 2 new pages. (eg. A and B)

4. To configure your page list, let's say you want B to be the first option then A.Just go to 'Layout', 'Page Elements', click 'Edit' for 'Pages' element. Drag and drop your choices of category.

5. Example :-
