Sliced Pork with Spring Onion and Ginger Rice
>> Friday, April 15, 2011
I'm not sure if it's normal to cook this kind of dish or not but it tasted nice. I bought ginger paste the other day (for all you ginger lovers but are lazy to cut and peel ginger....solution: ginger paste! yeay...haha) and use it to cook together with basmati rice (basmati rice are longer, not sticky, soft and has a 'medium' glycemic index (56 and 69), suitable for diabetics)). I just wanna add something to the rice although basmati rice itself has its fragrance. Anyway, it tasted nice... The colour reminded me of nasi ayam (chicken rice). Oh, this is also a steam rice since I don't have a rice cooker :( , guess how it's cook? Tadaa in a cooking pot.. Credits to my creative friend.

Sliced Pork with Spring Onion and Potatoes
Ingredients : Pork Meat (sliced) (can be used for chicken or fish)
Spring Onion (chopped)
1 Potato (sliced)
Pinch of salt
Light Soy Sauce
Ginger slices
Ginger paste
Garlic
Herbs (optional)
Black sesame seeds (optional)
How To : Marinate the pork meat with ginger paste, light soy, pinch of salt, and black sesame seeds. (I just took whatever there are in the fridge...hehe) around 10-15 minutes. While waiting, I boiled the potato so that it will be faster to prepare the food later. Stir-fried garlic and ginger slices, put in marinated pork, potato and spring onion and teaspoon of herbs.
Cheers :)
