One of the techniques of motivating sales
"Do not create unhealthy competition inter fighting among employee , employee with the distributors or dealers".
Well, although we are not employees of this company... but I still think this rule is applicable in any situation. We are all dealer/trader/retailer under this company. Yes, all that matters is your own personal sales. I know that. But you don't have to be so mean and fierce that you can't even smile to your 'neighbours'.
Girl A had a free trial on her face on 3rd day by Miss B. On 4th day, girl A stood infront of us and said she was looking for Miss B, but she forgot what's her name and that she can't find her. Then we said, "oh, then you just wait her later then". Girl A stood there. We didn't talk to her (continue doing our own stuff). Girl A called my friend...
Girl A : If we want to buy this, where can we buy ar? (general question right...?)
my Friend : Oh, you can buy from any of us the retailer or agent. (general answer also)
Girl A : Oh, if I buy now can?
my Friend : Erm, but you're okay ar buying from us or maybe you want to wait that person (Miss B)?
Girl A : Oh, I just want a bar now only.
my Friend : (unsure, but since the girl insisted of buying it that time..) Oh, ok.
Isn't that weird if the customer want to buy that so-called facial bar at that time at that moment, and we say 'oh please don't buy from me?' and we don't even know who the heck was Miss B at that time... we don't even know what to do when the girl stood infront us and said they want it ???
Later after that... Miss SH confronted us sounded like as if we did something wrong.. "Just now you sold the bar to one of Miss B's customer, so later right you give back the money to her la...ok". I told my friend to explained to Miss SH, cus the way she said to her sounded as if we 'stole' her customer. Miss SH trying to act nice there....ya,ya I know not your fault. bla bla bla... We told her that, we lost 1 box on the first day worth RM380 or RM360.. Then she like...Ooh..cannot find back ar? hmm...(speechless with no sign of pity or want to help), I'll try see if got (swoosh~~ lesap). Yeah, see how naive we were. Thought that people will be honest and genuine. Big NO!! We lost 1 box, we lost money... we just kept quiet. Nothing we can do, cus our fault cus forgot to write our name but not 100% our fault okay and most important, everyone there is in the probability group of thieves. Thinking back.. why should we give back the money when we did nothing wrong? When Miss B is the one to be blame because she came late and that girl A can't find her. This is business... if you expect that person to buy from you back, you have to come to work from 10am-10pm. We call that business hours!!! It's the same concept when you working in a shop as sales assistant with commission based. Let's say, if I go there, and you are not there... of course I will buy it from whoever is in the shop. That sales assistant that attended me will get the commission because she is there and you are not there. Same concept dude!!! Hmm.. it's an experience though. That's life, that's human. We are what we are. We are too good sometimes.
Overall, although we didn't performed that well in our sales. Who cares.. What matters is that we learn something. Observation and learning - human characteristics, desire and i-have-no-idea-what.... I enjoyed playing with the children, trying out free samples, meeting new/nice/wonderful people, chit-chat, and 're-discovering'.
I love the Toodle Pip booth...I have to put that name. Sounds cute when you say it out many times... Thanks to the uplines for teaching us.. Thanks to the visitors who are willing to sit and listen to me... Thanks to uncle and auntie teh tarik and coffee -Chek Hup, gor gor teh tarik and coffee - Meet U, di di -CATS (or caterpillars?) luggages, adik-adik - Anlene, xiao mei mei - Doraemon lollipop, kakak KOPEN, wedges bro, uncle of west pacific, the Ragarfield, the mineral water seller, water heater guy, funny-wiper fella, and to all.
=( One box gone (haiyss....). Just a sigh ok...
